A knocked out North Korean T-34 tank in front of the historic city walls of Suwon, South Korea.

Suwon, near Seoul, changed hands four times during the Korean War (1950-53).  By the time this photograph was taken it was back in South Korean hands.

Suwon was home to Major Robert 'Rex' King-Clark between April and December 1952, whilst he served as a staff officer at the Headquarters British Commonwealth Forward Maintenance Area near Seoul.  He held this post until January 1953.  He then became Deputy Assistant Adjutant and Quartermaster General to the 28th British Commonwealth Infantry Brigade.
